A new year, a new start, and finally a new post

In 2011, I wish I can blog more often. The last post I did was way back in September 2010.  After that, it was either my A Levels or my laziness that prevented me from posting a new post. Now that  I’ve got so many things to talk about, I really dont know where to start from. Okay, let me summarize them into a list..

October 23 2010
Attended KPop Night concert with Dingsheng, seeing Girls’ Generation in person for my very first time. Gosh, they really look very beautiful in person, especially maknae Seohyun. Among the star-studded line-up include SHINee, Big Bang, FT Island, ZE:A, etc. This fanatastic encounter was only made possible by Serene and her friends of course, who helped us (who were way back in the ticket queue) get our tickets.

November 8 – November 30 2010
A Levels. The big-day period all JC peeps have been preparing since getting posted into a JC. Thank God I’ve made it through the period alive.

Christmas 2010
Had Christmas Eve caroling near my church along the Geylang lorongs. Not the first time I’m doing this, but nonetheless another good experience to take home.

New Year’s Day 2011
A new year signals new changes to many things, especially for a post school-leaving-exams student like me. Where am I going next, what am I going to do now? Questions, questions about my future and present pop up non-stop.. Well, of course it would be great for me further my education here in Singapore. But it’ll be more likely for me to fly away~ Probably Australia, US or UK. It’s still anybody’s guess.

Birthday 2011
January 4th. Appreciate all the wishes that came in, really thank you. But there are certain things that I have to say about Facebook wishes in my next post. Back to the main point, I am now 19 years old. Having nearly spent almost 2 decades on the Earth, I wonder if I’m an average or an underachiever. After all, there aren’t many milestones I’ve achieved in my life, at least to myself.

So what now..?

Hopefully the planned Seoul trip in early April (to catch cherry blossoms!) with Kaisiang and Dingsheng will go on without any hitches. I’ve got to find a job of course to fund my trip. Also this period I’ve got to take my SAT to reduce delays once I receive my results on early March. Unlike all S’porean-born boys, or men, I need not serve National Service. Dont ask why, it’s simply because I’m neither a S’porean citizen nor a PR. Haha. Not serving NS now might probably wipe out any chance I have of applying for PR or citizenship in the future. But we’ll see, we’ll see..

It has been long..

Blogging from my new phone 🙂
These few weeks I have been extremely busy with many things, especially exams. Having my prelims now and have 3 more papers to go.

Just a quick update,
This month I got a new phone, Milestone XT, and its an exxellent phone. Slowly getting used to the controls and all. The highlight of this month is definitely the Kpop ticket I managed to get after much struggle. I’m gonna see SNSD!! FINALLY! Haha.

Will post full posts soon, probably after my exams. For now that’s all I have. Have a beautiful day 😉

Tonight, Tonight won’t be just any night.

Dmnchoir’s first concert by ourselves! And it’s at Esplanade, 7.30pm tonight.

I’ll be singing in the alumni chorus and this’ our songlist:

1. Cantate Domino
2. Under Linden
3. Natsuno Enongu (Summer Paints)
4. Tonight Tonight

The main choir will be performing more songs, including For as Long as I have Music and O Magnum Mysterium.

We’re expecting a full house. This’ll be my first time singing in a full house (:

I will be updating as much before our performance and follow me on mosvinski @ twitter!

JAE application.. what?

RP sent me a mail saying that my JAE appeal application has been confirmed. It said that I ‘submitted’ an application today at 3+pm.

WAIT.

What!? I was watching MBC Music Core from 3 to 4! But the thing is, I didnt even submit any applications!
They even had my particulars. It’s definitely not me who applied. Hmm.. I smell fish.

3rd January Night

Thanks guys, for the wonderful time, and of course the gifts. (:

Well, if you didn’t know, Bryan Freeman(below; extreme right in first pic)’s birthday is 1 day before mine, so Dmnchoir ppl and some fellow Dunmanites gathered to celebrate our birthdays. How nice.

Played soccer in the afternoon with my church ppl + Shaun Tan and Tan Kai Siang. After barely 45 mins, I couldn’t take it alr and had to rest for a while. Well, it’s been really a long time since I played soccer. Anyway, after Shaun did an Arshavin, I did an Henry by lopping the goalie from a distance. Well, that didn’t happen without luck. I wanted to curl to cross but miscued and sent to ball straight instead. haha. Lucky guy. After that, I was totally struggling with my 30% fitness. haha.

After playing soccer, I went to Marina Square’s Seoul Garden (too bad it wasnt the real Seoul) to meet up the awesome ppl. There, we ate talk laugh photo etc.

A failed attempt to do SuJu’s Sorry Sorry in motion picture style. haha. The first picture ended up like BEG’s Abracadabra. hahaha

Photo montage of everyone’s individual shots 😀 (look at Tan ‘Sotong-turned-Mermaid’ Jinghan’s pose. HAHA. and also Han ‘Gongxi-Gongxi’ Riffin. he tried to do a monkey but failed and ended up looking more like greeting for CNY. LOL)

The idea of it was to have everybody doing their own things and acting busy. Pretty cool, isn’t it?

Komabwo, everyone (:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! (:

hellobeautifulday.wordpress wishes all of you a

Merry Christmas 2009!

It has been a eventful and dramaful 2009 for me, I thank God for leading me all the way until now.
Have a even more wonderful 2010, everyone! (:

oh dear, I haven’t start on my holiday homework. super jialat.
and UniQlo is selling their jeans at only $19.90 a pair! My Gee. I bought 3 pairs already. haha.

It’s 24th December!

How time really speeds. I remember I used to pray to God to make time a little slower when I was young.

I’ve really got no idea why I’m so excited about this Christmas.. To me, I like Christmas a lot more than New Year – probably because the mark of New Year signals the start of school. haha. Too bad my church isn’t having any caroling this year, unlike last year. Last year’s home to home carols were really fun and meaningful.

Merry Christmas (Eve)!

At the same time, I’m really looking fwd to 2010, because 2009 has been a year of struggles for me, school-wise especially.
2010 will be great!

091130 – 091203 Overseas Adventure Trip ★ Bintan Island, Indonesia

Visit to orphanage

Adventure trip to Bintan, strange har. haha. Brief intro of it: 4D3N, 2 nights outdoor and 1 night in Agro Beach Resort – yes, a real resort. We trekked Gunung Bintan (Bintan Moutain), reforested mangrove saplings, visited orphanage Pondok Pesantren, stayed in a pretty beautiful resort (love the swimming pool man), etc.

The best activity out of all those mention has got to be the orphanage visit. No, I’m not saying the most noble answer, rather it’s genuine. I met my countrymen&women and were able to communicated with them pretty easily. The IC there admitted he was pretty shocked (not surprised) that I can speak Indo, since I don’t look like Indonesian at all. hahaha

People would tend to pity them, but I avoid feeling that way towards them. Instead, I admire them for their strength and zest for life. They participated in the activities we organised for them very enthusiastically, no matter how childish the games are, and were extremely friendly to each and every one of us. Sampe jumpa ya, kalian.

Mangrove Reforestation

The last day was plain enjoyment. After spending a night at the orphanage, we headed to Ramayana dept store to shop. Jon and co bought so many things man! One store assistant even asked me where we are from and why we shop so much. haha.

Though this trip isnt one of the best I’ve been to, its certainly fun and inspiring.
