Love Rain – Kim Tae Woo

This has got to be my favourite among all songs featured here. The combination fantastic vocals accompanied with a very melodious tune is the easiest combo for addiction. Even SNSD Yuri made this song her ringtone, as revealed in SBS’ show Invincible Youth. haha.

You And I – 2NE1’s Park Bom

Park Bom is a very pretty lady with good vocals. What a pity she’s in … Okay, shall’nt continue. haha. MV wise, I specially like the ending scene filmed on the pastures. Lovely and touching MV.

SIGN – Brown Eyed Girls

The MV is very interesting. As expected, some people have expressed their displeasure on the excessive violence in the MV. Who cares about how violent the MV is as long as the song is nice? haha. Narsha looks pretty different in this new concept. The scene when the girls are in the water tank reminds me of that 2006 film The Prestige, when Angler duplicated himself and… watch the film. It’s abstarct but beyond-words great.

I Want You Back – Secret

New group Secret sure has good vocals. The MV looked to be an ‘emo’ one at the beginning but the mood completely changed when the song came in! And, is it only me or do 3 of the 4 girls look pretty similar? haha.

It’s Fantastic – SNSD’s Jessica, Tiffany & Seohyun

Not a new song, but I only took notice of this song recently. Oops. haha. Je Ti Hyun form a sub group of giant-sized SNSD, and they’ve released a couple of singles to date, including this very catchy and lively track. Tiffany, the lead in the MV, is very very adorable in it!

These days I’ve been posting extremely little because of my promotional exams, and then my PW’s Written Report. But finally, all the nonsense for WR is officially over, though there’s still Oral Presentation cmoing up in 2+ weeks.

This weekend is totally crazy. Totally. And today is one of the most hectic, anxious, and neck-wrecking day. So this is what happened..

091024 Saturday,

11:30am

My PW subject tutor (ST) called our group back for a WR review.

12:00pm

ST sugested to us that if we wanna give our project a helpful perk, we should change our project’s focus and objectives. Yes, you got it, it means re-doing it – the deadline is on 091026! (though some parts can remain unchanged)

Not 100% sure if he’s being polite and diplomatic about this, but he said the reason why he suggested this is because after seeing my grp’s completed WR, it is hard to top the pile because the project is a little too trite. Definitely a passing WR, just lacking the edge for an A, he said. Okay..

1:30pm

After discussing with my grpmates on whether to give the new project a try or not, we have decided to kill ourselves on mutual consent.

3:20pm

Amazingly (or even magically), my grp successfully produce a fantastic outline for our WR – rationale, lessons learnt, proposals, in less than 2 hours. Wow. And the it is of top quality, certainly. Proof – ask my ST.

We decided to meet at our of my grp member’s house to execute our planned battle before evening.

5.30pm

Reached at my friend’s mansion house, and started work almost immediately. (i’d be lying if i say immediately right. must be practical a bit. haha.). Pledged to complete a flawless “Lessons Learnt” section before I leave.

Went to church. Re-charge is essential for marathon, let alone PW.

Met up with my grp and my ST at T1’s (the mall, not Terminal 1) tea dot for a crunch meeting. It appeared to us that actually we’re almost done. And we even boasted that we can complete the content (project task 1 and 2) by 8 or 9.

That’s right, still not ready AT ALL. SIs missing here and there, diagrams floating everywhere. Way to go, har.

12:00am – 2:00am

I have a confession to make. That I actually watched Arsenal’s game between this time. BUT, but, before anybody (esp my grpmates) begins to do anything, I did do my WR during the 15 mins half-time break. Well, at least I made up for it. I slept at 4.30+am!

3.10am

2 grpmates down, 3 left. ST sends in his review about our project’s part 1 while we’re still crawling with part 2. Yes, you didnt see wrongly, my ST is still awake at such holy hour. What a passionate and compassionate ST he is. Thanks cher.

Energy bar of 2 of the 3 last standing members are red coloured alr. Compiled everything together, sends in part 2 to my ST for review. Then, i waited for the reply. The wait of the century. While waiting, I was wondering if I should watch dramas. 亏我想得出. I didnt, of course.

Woke Up, didnt go to school. When soldiers are out battling, there has to be someone staying in the HQ. Yup, that someone is me.

Began the sending of updated documents to grpmates who are school, for them to clean things up. While I piece things together before sending them. I needed to update the posters too.

10:00am – 12:00pm

Honestly, I cant remeber what I was doing btwn this. I think I was hovering btwn sleeping, doing WR, and kpop-ing.

Did all necessary arrangements with grpmate before leaving for school.

Reaches school and began to tidy things up. While my ST makes his final review of our WR.

Oh! The ‘deadline’ is up! Oh dear. But don’t worry, the real one is 2359.

Printing of WR took crazily long. haha. Not anyone’s fault though. I do the admin stuff for my WR while my grpmates print.

Finally, finally, finally. The time when WR becomes history is finally here. I really like the cover pages I designed! haha. WR is finally over.

This post actually reminds me Bobby Lee who parodies the show “24″ on MadTV. haha. MadTV is funny.
But of course, I cant afford to slacken a lot because Oral Presentaion is only a little more than 2 weeks away. Have to keep up the PW momentum.

For the moment, let us rejoice and celebrate the end of WR!

Last week I got to know my H1 Chinese, H1 General Paper and H1 Literature score, which I got B, C  and E respectively. Btw E is a passing grade for A levels.

Alright, so today, I got back my H2 Economics and H2 Geography papers back. Though I expected an A or high B for my Geog, I did manage to get a mid-B. And for my Econs, I’m joint-top-in-class with Tricia Ann with a mid-B. So even though there’s no A, I still managed a triple B plus a C and an E. Not that bad har? But not that good either.

Maths will be tmr.  B or C is my prediction. I don’t mind an A though. haha.
So with these grades, I’ve certainly booked a spot as a J2 next year. Great (:

3rd October 2009 Can You Hear Me – Taeyeon & Seohyun (SNSD) ★Mnet Countdown

The performance I must really share. Those who have watched the drama “Beethoven Virus” would know this song, which is sang by SNSD’s leader Taeyeon.

This ‘live’ performance by her, accompanied by SNSD mate Seohyun at the piano, is so stellar and breathtaking I can’t help but to keep watching it. She’s really good at singing ‘live’, ah, I’m speechless. The song is very nice too. Though I don’t understand the lyrics before looking up for the translations, the melody and all were enough to touch me. Watch it.

Call her the Queen of drama OSTs. Man, she’s even better than Utada Hikaru.

Apparently the Americans don’t.

Though this song is more than a year old (that’s right, the song was released as part of their 3rd album The Wonder Years Trilogy last September), the the girls make up for not releasing any new songs by remix-ing Nobody. This remix is absolutely refreshing, especially the chorus! Still, I hope they release a new korean album soon. Or else I reckon the kpop fans will forget them soon, with the likes such as SNSD, KARA, 2NE1, etc etc etc.

Heading to the Ground, it is.

Starring DBSK’s leader Yunho and fellow SMEntertainment labelmate Go Ara, this show is definitely a must-watch for a soccer-kpop fan like me. Poor acting (well, no one’s fault here. This’  Yunho’s first attempt at acting) and sometimes illogical & senseless features in plot aside, the show is pretty fun and interesting to watch. Especially on-pitch scenes, which revealed that Yunho isn’t a bad footballer at all.

Anyway, I’ve been watching the past 10 eps, and everything’s pretty good so far. Hope it gets evn better! SNSD is also the singer for the drama’s theme song and a couple other songs in the OST.

It cost money, apprently, a lot of them too.

That’s right, it’s the 2001 movie Pearl Harbour’s theme song “There You’ll Be” (TYWB). What a hair-raising and stellar performance! The harmonising’s so Boomz! Then they did their usual routine by Genie-ing before they leave the stage. And my promo is over! haha.

If you think the crowd is unfair for only cheering for Taeyeon and Seohyun (the 2 on the right) when they were singing TYWB, it’s because the crowd was cheering for Pearl Harbour actor Josh Hartnett’s entrance.

Man, I can’t stop hearing their TYWB. It’s really good. Rate their perf at the top of this post!
