doing online quizes and assignments now,
and finding extra time in between to blog. haha.

i thought e-learning would be very fun (first time having such activity after 10+ years of education. haha). but it turned out to be so troublesome and stupid to some extent!

before doing assignments, we have to download hell lots of documents (including lecture notes for reference, assignment instructions, etc). and then only to realise some of the documents are redundant to be kept (such as assignment questions, passages, instructions, etc). so much for saving them. not only that, i have to login before 8am or else something might happen to me. lol. i could have finish school at 2 today, but with elearning, i can only ‘finish’ it at 3! (not much dif, come to think of it. haha)

aiya, nevertheless, it’s still pretty enjoyable due to the fact that i can seat in front of my computer, listen to KARA’s new song, SNSD’s songs and streaming SNSD videos while doing assignments. I can never do that in lecture theatres or tutorials! hahaha!

side-tracking a little,

Kpop girl grp KARA is coming back with their 2nd full album, Revolution!

They released the first single of the album, titled “Wanna”. Wanna what?

KARA’s Wanna

KARA seems to like the word “wanna” a lot. Their 1st album has a song titled If You Wanna, then last year in their “Pretty Girl” mini album, their song Pretty Girl’s chorus is, “If you wanna pretty, every wanna pretty. (sic)”  KARA the Wanna-er.

Whatever the reason is, this tune is pretty catchy and gets into the head easily. But,

I’m sorry KARA, i still prefer SNSD’s Genie. LOL.

Dancing wise, KARA would have to be better if they wanna match up with SNSD.
and my goodness, Kang Jiyoung, the girl with the phone at the begginning, is only 15 this year! She’s 2 years 14 days younger than me, but she looked like shes so much older than me! Young people age faster this days?

Tell Me Your Wish by Girls Generation/SNSD, along with SHINee

Music Core never fails to come out with innovative and fresh ideas for groups. Few weeks ago, the girls from SNSD went out to the sea on a yacht, then last week, they took a helicopter, landed on a heliport, and then performed on that heliport (super cool). Today, SNSD’s performance is ‘preluded’ by a 5-to-5 dance routine together with SHINee. What a way to pass the stage from SHINee to SNSD.

Wow, SHINee sure can dance. Thumbs up and ★★★★★!

Naengmyun (Cold Noodles) by Myungcadrive (Park Myung Soo, Jessica of SNSD)

A little bit of the background of the song: This song is a song written by the composers of Gee, the E-tribe. It’s composed for a charity music album consisting of songs sang by TV programme Infinity Challenge’s members (including Park Myung Soo) and guests the members personally invite. Don’t really know why they named it after a dish, probably to make it funny? haha. P.S. look at the hand movement during the chorus.

This performance by comedian Park Myung Soo is considerably very good already, considering he’s not a professional singer and that he’s been diagnosed with acute hepatitis A not long ago. I’m still amazed by their ability to change such a funnily/ridiculously titled and lyric-ed song into such a catchy and addictive tune.

This song was never supposed to feature on music show Music Core. But because of the soaring popularity and the number of requests from viewers and fans, the music show decided to grant the latter’s wish. Watch how happy they are, singing the chorus along and cheering loudly. hahaha.

I like Naengmyun by MyungCaDrive very much, and Jessica’s cutesy vocals are appealing to the ears and Myung Soo is hilarious as always.

Often we’ve heard abt hectic schedules celebs have, but we’ve hardly seen one example. Today, I’ve witnessed one of the many crazily packed schedules. Music Bank starts at 5.40 and ended late at abt 7. thereafter, they had to rush to Seoul World Cup Stadium for the interval entertainment, alongside soloist Son Dambi, during the half-time break.

What a rush hour. Impressive. haha.

THEY CUT THEIR 2ND SONG GENIE FOR ADS.
NO SONES ARE HAPPY ABT THIS EITHER.

i think the sound produced at the stadium is magnificent! probably because of the size and the exposure of the stadium.

I rolled off my seat laughing after one person i saw on a forum thought it was ‘SNSD vs Mancester United’. Even though SNSD is only 2 (wo)men down (SNSD has 9 members, I cant imagine them playing soccer. Maybe they should have combine forces with Son Dambi and Park Ji Sung to form a makeshift 11 players squad and play agnst Man Utd. Sure to be a sell-out. haha.

Dream Combo

SNSD + Man Utd = Kpop + Football

Although I’m no way a Man Utd fan (proof), the combination of my 2 favourites – Kpop & Football, is a little too good to be true. It’s almost like shopping but instead of paying, you get paid. Get it? Ah heck, SNSD performed at Man U’s match! haha. Performing at an Arsenal match would be perfectly perfect (:

On a recent trip to a small town on the Brazilian/Bolivian border, the photographer found this man tending a burning field of debris and vegetation. Something as mundane as this may seem like a daily, necessary chore to one man, while offering a symbolic portrait of tranquil repose to another.

hurray, just completed my 1st draft of my PW’s EoM. looks pretty good to me. haha. cheers.

After getting Vol. 2 – Someday (released last August) – thanks to Hanwen, I got my second Younha’s album Vol. 3 – PartA. Peace Love & Ice-cream (released April 2009) on Thursday – thanks to Roger and his sis! haha. The album’s straight from Korea man.

Now i own 2 of her albums! Hurray and cheers!

Next album I wanna get – Girls Generation/SNSD’s Genie (:

Ah! holiday today! FANTASTIC!
should take this opportunity to regenerate and finish up all homeworks (:

hope the day won’t come to a waste (:

It’s been a long while since i posted, and i posted this late because of my exams (which are over alr!).

I have never expected this day. I would even think thrice before listening to Girls Generation’s (a.k.a SNSD) songs. Hahaha.
But after listening to Tell Me Your Wish a week before the album’s release.. the song successfully converted an anti-fan into an avid fan (:

I used to think with such a large group, what goods can they produce? Singing would be not in-sync, dancing would be messy, etc. But after listening to their hit Gee, and then now Genie, I have been proven totally wrong. haha.

2nd Mini-Album - Genie

#1. Tell Me Your Wish (Genie) ★★★★★★

Download Tell Your Wish (Genie)

This song ‘converted’ me. It has been exactly 2 weeks since I downloaded this, and I have been hooked onto it until now. And my play count went to 43 after just 2 days. What more can I say? 6 stars upon 5. Oh, and the dance is a must-watch.

#2. Etude ★★★★★

Download Etude

A very catchy and pleasant to the ears song. Bravo!

#3. Girlfriend

Download Girlfriend

The starting of the song sounds a little like the 90s. The melody rhythm and everything else. hahaha. Don’t really know why, just felt as though it’s an classic pop song. But the song is pretty catchy.

#4. Boyfriend

Download Boyfriend

Not a fan of this.

#5. Fairytale (My Child)

Download Fairytale (My Child)

Hmm.. A pretty fun-to-listen song. But generally the song is a little too children-like for me. After all the title’s Fairytale. haha. The feel I get from this song is pretty similar to Younha’s Alice, which is based on “Alice on the Wonderland” (duh).

#6. One Year Later (SNSD’s Jessica & SHINee’s Onew) ★★★★★

Download One Year Later

AH! One of my favourites from this album. I think I know why Jessica’s picked for this duet, instead of the other 8. Listen and you’ll know too (: haha. She has an exceptionally sweet and appealing voice, no wonder she’s still popular despite her seemingly arrogant/cocky image.

I hardly listens to SHINee’s songs (actually never – other than Stand By Me), but Onew has certainly caught my attention. His voice is really very soothing and unique, and reminds me of ballad singer Sung Si Kyung (this fella’s vocals is truely amazing) very much. Even their voices sound very alike!

Check their cool individual shots (:
